And as if that wasn’t enough sparkle, he brought backup: his best bud, Koda, a striking Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix with movie-star good looks and a tuxedo-worthy coat to match.
Wardrobe Changes & Wiggle Butts
From the very first moment (which included Rhodes giving my husband, Charles, a signature full-body “hug”), these two were game for everything. We did outfit changes. We did location swaps. We did posed portraits and on-the-go action shots. Through it all, Rhodes and Koda were happy to strut their stuff — tails wagging, tongues lolling, ties blowing in the breeze.
Ultimately, I chose the shot of Rhodes confidently walking down the sidewalk, his blue tie swinging mid-stride, tongue out, looking every bit the canine CEO. The brief asked for a setting that gave off an urban vibe while still keeping the pet as the star — and this felt like the perfect fit.

The judges didn’t agree. They felt the image wasn’t quite sharp enough, and they weren’t sold on the crop or color grading. But hey — art is subjective, right? And if you ask me, CEO Rhodes totally owns the sidewalk runway.
